Shaman's Thoughts: Should Dragon Ball Reboot?

Greetings Ladies and Gents! It is I, The Shaman of Animation back once again with something I haven't done in quite a while on this blog: A discussion about Dragon Ball. As of this post, Dragon Ball Super has kicked off the Universal Survival Arc: An arc that gathers all 12 Universes in the Dragon Ball series and puts them all in a tournament where their very universe is on the line. It's a huge arc, probably the biggest the series has done; and while it's only four episodes in, there has been pondering as to where the series, and the franchise in general, goes afterwords. Some have been saying that maybe we should do a timeskip, skipping past the ending of the Dragon Ball Manga (or the final episode of DBZ for those that need to be specific) and doing a timeskip ala Dragon Ball GT. But there is one idea that is swimming in the head of your dear Shaman folks that just won't get out. That is the idea that perhaps instead of Dragon Ball pushing forward with new stories, perhaps it should start from scratch with a reboot.

The Lego Batman Movie Review

Greetings Ladies and Gents! It is I, The Shaman of Animation back once again with a brand new review! Today is Valentine's Day, a day of love, a day of being with that special someone and showering them with affection; and when I think of love, when I think of closeness, when I think of affection...I think of only one man: Batman; and yes, I waited to review this movie on Valentine's Day for this one joke. It's time to review The Lego Batman Movie!

Greetings Ladies and Gents! It is I, The Shaman of Animation back once again with some Superhero talk! Earlier this week, I wrote a post in regards to how to make the 'Arrowverse' (Or CWverse if you prefer) the DC Cinematic Universe and how to fit the DCEU movies into them. If you want, you can check it out in my featured posts. Today however, we're more focused on building this crazy new universe I've created.

I resist the urge to vomit at calling it the 'Arrowverse'...

Happy New Year (9 days in is remotely new, right?) Ladies and Gents! It is I, The Shaman of Animation back again with some more Superhero talk; and today we're writing Fanfiction! No seriously.

Today's topic has been something that's plagued my mind for a month now, and with the Gotham City Sirens movie recently announced, I need to write it out and get it out of my head; a little while ago, I read that the DC Tv shows have made a billion dollars a year for Warner Bros. These shows include IZombie, Preacher, and Gotham. But also, the CW/Arrowverse which consists of The Flash, Arrow, Legends of Tomorrow, and Supergirl. This is as opposed to the DCEU and the fact that it's biggest movie (Batman v Superman) struggled to break even in theaters. 

Now this post isn't some DCEU bashing, I've done that enough on my various social media accounts. This is just me looking at things as they are currently at face value, who knows what could happen in a year's time. But as is, The DCEU is currently 1 for 3 financially (Counting Man of Steel because it didn't make the money WB wanted it to make) and 0 for 3 critically; and while I don't know how much money the CW Verse is pulling in as a profit, considering TV shows are cheaper to make than most movies it's safe to say that WB is making a pretty penny. Not to mention, they're generally more well received than the movies so far. So, the way I see it, instead of trying to push forward with a movie universe that continues to divide fans, let's go all in and expand on a universe that IS working.

Before the DCEU fans jump down my gullet, I'm not trying to nix everything in the universe. In fact, I want to take everything that DOES work and retrofit it into the Arrowverse, even expand on some (Okay, like maybe just one) ideas they brought to the table. This is just an idea/concept I'm working with so the details aren't hammered out. Sit tight folks, this is my attempt at merging the CW Universe and DCEU, leaving the CW Verse as our DC Cinematic Universe.

Shaman's Thoughts: Brock Lesnar vs Goldberg Survivor Series 2016

You got my money Brock?! WHERE'S MAH MONEY?!

Greetings Ladies and Gents! It is I, The Shaman of Animation back again with some wrestling talk. The year was 2004. The event was Wrestlemania 20; and the match was Brock Lesnar vs Goldberg. At the time, it was both men's final night in the WWE and the fans had completely turned on both men, not wanting to see the match and outraged, mainly at Brock, feeling like they were betrayed by Brock's leaving for MMA and felt he sold out. 

Fast forward twelve years later to Survivor Series last night, Brock Lesnar vs Goldberg 2: the rematch no one really asked for. Goldberg's first pro wrestling match in over a decade, and it was a match with months of build up, spawning from Goldberg's WWE 2K17 commercial. And much to the shock of wrestling fans everywhere, the match was over in three minutes (at most) with Goldberg dominating Lesnar in a squash match. And in the 12 plus hours as of the time this post is up, the internet is split on this match: some thought it was great, while many others believed it to be a complete disgrace. Here in this post I'll give my very thoughts on the match and the build up surrounding it and see if I can decipher where both sides are coming from in regards to their feelings on the match.
