John Cena vs Kevin Owens (MITB) discussion

This match is so good it deserves it's own blog post

Greetings Ladies and Gents! It is I, The Shaman of Animation and after some time, I am back with some more wrestling talk. Folks I just finished watching John Cena vs Kevin Owens from Money in the Bank. These two men put on a clinic in their match two weeks ago at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view.  And with the rematch happening so quickly, I seriously doubted that they would've topped that match. But this match...THIS MATCH...I don't know where to even begin.

Actually I do, first of all, NXT champion Kevin Owens has to be one of the best heels WWE has had in years. Sure there have been great factions in the WWE in recent years (The Authority, The Shield, The Wyatt family). But there hasn't been a single wrestler that's been as effective as a heel as Kevin Owens has. His actions, even the small things he does, just scream of a guy who knows how to be a heel and a great one at that: rolling his eyes during John Cena's music, mocking his hand gestures and even doing his moves in the ring to his actions after the match is over, it is just top level stuff.

Secondly, after their previous match and this one, I honestly believe that people should put the 'John Cena can't wrestle' jokes to rest. Sure his matches have a bit of a formulaic predictability to them and ninety percent of them can be summed up with this:

But I have to give credit where it's due, you put John Cena up against a guy that knows his way around a wrestling ring (Like Kevin Owens, Edge, Seth Rollins, Shawn Michaels, and Daniel Bryan) and the guy takes his performance to a whole new level. The guy was bringing everything in this match, Dropkicks, top rope leg drops, Hurricanrana, reverse suplex, Sprinboard Stunner, and a Yoshi Tonic! Granted, it was a little sloppy, but still, he did a freaking Yoshi Tonic!!

John Cena DID THIS MOVE (But nowhere as good as this though...)

Of course that's not to take anything away from Kevin Owens, who also gave it a hundred and ten percent tonight. But his in-ring ability doesn't need anymore praise. Just watch him on NXT if you don't believe me...or these matches with Cena, your pick. WWE has been excellently handling Kevin Owens in the main roster while he's still very busy down in NXT, and what he's brought with this ongoing feud with John Cena has me very excited with what Owens will do once he's permanently on the main roster.

If you guys couldn't figure it out, this match was amazing, easily the match of the year; and if it doesn't win that in the Slammy's this year, something is seriously wrong with the WWE. Go find this match and watch it, I don't care where you have to go to find it, just do it. If there's one thing that has me very happy when it comes to this match's outcome, it's that it guarantees that there'll be one more match between Cena and Owens, and if it's anything like these last two matches, then everyone's minds will be blown.

Til next time, I'm The Shaman of Animation saying: We better see that Package Piledriver soon.
I know Piledrivers are banned in the WWE, but Kevin's already teased twice. I just want to see it once, and I can move on with life.

Take Care...
